Ingredients

Scale

3 cups shortbread cookies
¼ cup butter, melted
1 orange, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ cup orange juice
1 box orange Jell-O (3-ounce)
12 ounces cream cheese, softened
12 ounces cool whip
14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
Orange slices for garnish

Instructions

Spray a 9-inch pie dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Pulse shortbread cookies in a food processor to fine crumbs; mix with melted butter. Press into dish, freeze 15-20 minutes.
Blend orange slices, zest, vanilla, and juice in food processor; set aside.
In a mixer, blend 8 oz cream cheese with dissolved Jell-O until smooth.
Add 14 oz condensed milk and 8 oz cool whip; mix until fluffy.
Fold orange puree into cream cheese mixture. Pour into crust and smooth top.
Cover and refrigerate 2-4 hours or freeze 1 hour for firm texture.
Garnish with orange slices and serve chilled.

Notes

Prepare up to 1 day ahead.
Use non-dairy cream cheese and shortbread for a vegan option.
Refrigerated version has softer texture; frozen version firms up like ice cream.
