PrintA creamy, halal-friendly no-bake dessert combining layered ladyfingers, fresh strawberries, and a silky cream cheese filling with orange juice. Perfect for summer or gatherings.
1 pint fresh strawberries, tops removed and sliced
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
½ cup sifted powdered sugar
2 teaspoons strawberry preserves, melted
1 package lady fingers
¼ cup orange juice
16 ounce Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
2 teaspoons strawberry extract
Fresh sliced strawberries, for garnish
Combine sliced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl. Set aside for 30 minutes to create a compote.
In a large bowl, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and melted strawberry preserves until smooth. Fold in 1 cup Cool Whip.
Arrange lady fingers in a 9×9-inch dish and drizzle with orange juice.
Spread half the cream cheese mixture on the base, then layer with half the strawberry compote. Repeat: cream cheese, lady fingers, strawberries, and whipped topping.
Chill for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Before serving, garnish with additional strawberries and a drizzle of strawberry compote juice.
Let cream cheese mixture sit 15 minutes if too stiff for spreading.
Swap strawberries with peaches or other berries for variation.
Ensure ladyfingers are arranged closely to prevent gaps.
