1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 red bell pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella
1/2 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons milk
Optional: crushed pickles, 1/2 cup diced tomatoes, 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish
